This is our final designs placed in the Light to be judged..it was a good opportunity for people to see my work and meet people in the industry.

Adding existing logos (festive leeds and the light) on to the designs that I think are most appropriate and communicate message well. I really like these simple type experiments and i think they are bold and eye catching and will look great on the hessian bags although i am torn between whether or not I should stick with these designs or go on with my hand drawn type...my hand drawn type is a little bit more original and may seperate me from other people entering the competition.

Starting to add other symbols to emphasis what i am trying to communicate. Adding circles to communicate snow and adding footsteps to emphasis 'walking' around Leeds and participating in the different activities that are on offer to the public.

Using existing type from 'festive leeds' i have created these type experiments...first of all sticking with just black and white and then adventuring into colour. Using purple and yellow to fit in with the colours of existing branding and red and green to bring in the feel of christmas.
I think the type experiments are quite simple but are clear and deliver the right message, encouraging people to come and visit
leeds over the festive period.

Experimenting with hand drawn type in illustrator... keeping to limited colour palette is quite hard!

Experimenting with different colour variations...looking at using greens and reds to emphasis and exaggerate the festive season.

Original hand drawn type made from little christmas lights....i will take these into illustrator and start adding colour.
